Himlen fyldes næsten helt af bevægelse. Tusindvis af stære samler sig i et tæt, levende tæppe over landskabet og forvandler aftenhimlen til et pulserende mønster. Sort sol i sin mest massive form – hvor mængden i sig selv bliver motivet.
Kompositionen er bred og horisontal, med horisonten liggende lavt i billedet. Det giver plads til fuglenes tætte formationer, som breder sig ud over himlen i lag af bevægelse. The sky is almost completely filled with motion. Thousands of starlings gather into a dense, living blanket above the landscape, turning the evening sky into a pulsing pattern. Black sun at its most expansive — where sheer scale becomes the subject.
The composition is wide and horizontal, with the horizon placed low in the frame. This leaves space for the birds’ dense formations as they spread across the sky in layers of movement. Colours shift from warm golden tones near the horizon to cooler blues and violets above, adding depth and calm to the intensity.
The image captures black sun as a collective phenomenon. There is no single shape or figure — only mass, rhythm, and repetition. A shared expression where the individual disappears and the whole takes over.
